At the Newport International Boat Show

Snap shots taken at The Newport International Boat Show in Newport, R.I.  After a 24 hour non-stop trip from Arequipa, Peru, Eileen Saavedra, our Chief Designer brought the latest models of Latitude15 shirts and socks for the boat show (Tent B-16)
A twelve hour workday in setting up, we took a little boat ride as a reward.   Weather clear, cool, and conducive to attendance.  More later.......

Prayers today for all of us on this memorable day, Sept. 11, 2009.  We will be flying an American Flag at our booth in honor of all of those who were directly impacted on that day seven years ago.  Bob Hardy

How's your carbon footprint anyway?

How's your carbon footprint.   Oil may be going down, but the price does not yet reflect a safety margin for getting through January to end of April in Vermont where the cost of comfortable heating begins to pinch.   We suggest that you can have the comfort to which you have become accustomed by modifying your wardrobe a bit.  Including Latitude15 clothing - shirts, socks, and beanie caps can do this for you and in the meanwhile, allowing you to turn the thermostat down quite a bit.  How much is quite a bit?  Say 10 degrees out loud.   You can wear all of these garments comfortably in bed also.  The silver lining in the socks will help you to sleep more deeply and you will say "ahhh!" as you lay down for your winter nap.   Enjoy the changes in your life.  You will be better off for them.   For now, cheers for the rest of the summer and I predict a dry and beautiful fall. Stay tuned.  Best wishes, Bob Hardy

THE SILVER LINING MAKES THIS SHIRT

I do not know why this did not occur to me before, but earlier this year Elaine Lembo, the Editor of Cruising World wrote a bang up article about Latitude 15 shirts.  I will let you read the article yourself which is posted below.   We are going to be back in Newport International Boat Show on Sept. 10 through 14, 2008 at Booth B-16.  We are very fortunate of having as our guest, our Chief Designer, Eileen Saavedra whose image you have seen previously wearing one of our Latitude15 hats which she designed.  We thought it would be good for people who sail and cruise extensively to meet with Eileen and to discuss with her their preferences and ideas with regard to long haul cruising where fresh feeling and smelling clothing is a luxury indeed.
